Our Story – At Ryan’s Smokehouse, BBQ isn’t just food—it’s family tradition. A true staple of the Webster area for nearly 30 years, our restaurant has long been a local favorite, known for its authentic Southern-style BBQ, homemade sauces, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Originally founded by a local couple and later passed on to Marie’s aunt (Janet Tran), Ryan’s Smokehouse has been in our family since 1999.
For 24 years, Janet poured her heart into the business, building a loyal following in the community and a beloved reputation. When it came time for her to retire, she knew she wanted the smokehouse to remain in the family. After heartfelt conversations, Justin & Marie Bock made the life-changing decision to leave their home in South Dakota to carry on the legacy. Before officially taking over, Justin & Marie spent a year in Texas, learning everything they could from Janet.
With over 30 years of restaurant experience, Justin brought not only skill but passion to the table. Together, they’ve continued to honor the family’s recipes and traditions while bringing their own heart and dedication to the business.
Ryan’s Smokehouse is proud to serve more than just great BBQ—we serve the community. Whether it's sponsoring local children's sports teams, donating to nearby churches, or supporting their son’s school through events and catering, Justin & Marie believe in giving back to the community that supports them.
Our menu is built on family recipes and slow-smoked perfection. Known for our house-smoked meats, homemade Southern BBQ sauce, and signature sides, Ryan’s Smokehouse offers something for everyone. Fan favorites include our famous smoked turkey (available exclusively at Thanksgiving), Mr. Ryan’s (Justin’s) homemade pumpkin pie (available exclusively at Thanksgiving), Nana’s (Marie’s) creamy banana pudding, and the must-try “Chow Down” loaded baked potato.
For us, Ryan’s Smokehouse isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a way to bring people together, to celebrate tradition, and to serve the community with pride.
We’re grateful every day to keep this legacy alive, one plate at a time.
